Volunteer

Volunteers are one of our most needed resources. Parents, grandparents, and community members who give their time could assist in the library or help with PTO events, such as Fall Festival, Science Night, Staff Holiday Luncheon, Physical Fitness Day & 5K and many more.

NEW THIS YEAR....PTO HOMEROOM COORDINATORS

This is a new great opportunity to become involved with your child's school. PTO Homeroom Coordinators will be the main link between the teachers and the PTO officers. We now have over 50 classrooms. Assigning 2 volunteers per room will be a tremendous help to the teachers and the PTO. We are looking for people who are able to commit to various duties throughout the year. The following are examples of what PTO Homeroom Coordinators may do for us.

• Attend PTO meetings or visit website or contact PTO President by phone on a monthly basis.

• Cover classroom when needed for approximately 1 hour, i.e. Relieve teacher for staff holiday luncheon & teacher appreciation luncheon.

• Distribute materials to classrooms.

• Help bake/send in food items approximately 4 times per year.

• Take photos of classroom for the yearbook.

• Birthday's - Find out when your teachers birthday is and create a card from the PTO & place it in their mailbox.

• Create and hang posters for the PTO.

• Wrap classroom basket for the Fall Festival.

• Help with Family Activity Nights.

• Speak to your teacher about ways to help throughout the year.

Old Cell Phones & Printer Cartridges

Grandy Primary School receives educational equipment for old cell phones & printer cartridges. Please drop cell phones & printer cartridges in the lobby of Grandy Primary School.

Farm Fresh ABC's

  Save your Farm Fresh receipts including gas receipts from Farm Fresh Fuel Express & Pharmacy. GPS earns educational equipment for the receipts. Send your receipts to the school with your child or drop them in the Farm Fresh ABC's drawer in the school lobby.

Box Tops For Education

Box Tops for Education offers 3 easy ways to earn cash for our school.

CLIP - Clip box tops from hundreds of participating products. Box Tops are worth 10 each when our school redeems them from Box Tops for Education (Please cut along the lines) Send box tops to school with your child.

SHOP - Shop your favorite online stores at the Box Top Marketplace. Up to 8% of each qualifying purchase is donated to our school.

CHARGE - Earn 1% on every purchase for our school with the Box Tops Visa Card. Apply today or call (800) 650-0235.

Box Tops are worth 10¢ each and Super Box Tops are worth 30¢ each when our school redeems them from Box Tops For Education.

Food Lion Shop and Share

  Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to GPS. Visit foodlion.com to register your MVP card. (Your MVP card must be re-linked each year)

Target Take Charge of Education

  GPS will receive a percentage of the amount of each purchase when you use your Target REDcard or Target Visa. Visit target.com/tcoe or call (800) 316-6142 to designate our school.

Campbell's Soup Labels

    Simply clip & save UPCs & Lids from participating labels for Education Brands and you've helped our school get free stuff. Send them in with your child or drop them off in the school lobby. Remember you no longer need to clip the entire label - just the UPC code itself.
